Our campsite combines authentic nature experiences with modern comforts and is ideal for anyone who loves camping in the Black Forest and spending time in the great outdoors – whether you’re staying in a tent, caravan or motorhome.
Dogs are very welcome here, and families with children will also find the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. The stream and the nature trail are real highlights for children who love exploring the great outdoors.
Outdoor enthusiasts will be in their element here: numerous hiking and cycling trails in the Black Forest start right at the campsite. Whether it’s leisurely walks, challenging hikes or trips to the nearby Black Forest National Park – nature begins right on our doorstep.

A third-generation family business
The Natur‑Camping Langenwald has been run by the Eiermann family since 1974 – now in its third generation. Our campsite was established on the historic grounds of the Schleh sawmill, a place long connected to nature and traditional craftsmanship. What began as a small family business has grown into a lovingly developed campsite that combines tradition, closeness to nature, and modern hospitality.

We stayed here for 3 nights weather sadly not great but that's camping ! the site is very pretty nice clean toilets and showers lovely walks pretty streem running through it and the people who run it are very friendly and helpful definitely recommend

Amazing campsite, one of the best I’ve ever been. Beautiful layout along the creaks, nice pitches and everything is super clean. Minor flaw is the busy highway, but would definitely go back.

3. September 2025At the start of our camping trip we had to quickly reschedule everything and we were looking for a campsite somewhere in the Black Forest in Germany. Natur-Camping Langenwald seemed to get great reviews so we contacted them and booked a space for a few days in June. It turns out that we made an excellent decision because this campsite is one of the best I have ever been to! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were all amazingly helpful and friendly (they also spoke great English). We just couldn't believe how nice everything was there! The shower block was like something from a 5-star hotel, the laundry and dishwashing were absolutely immaculate and every time I went in there was never even a speck of dirt anywhere. There is even a place to wash your dog and it has both hot and cold water - it was better than many of the human showers we encountered on our trip. There is a brilliant little cafe / bar on site that served coffee and cakes in the afternoon and hearty traditional German food in the evening along with a great selection of drinks. It isn't open very late so there is no noise at night time. The reception had a well-stocked shop and a great selection of freshly-baked breads and croissants each morning for breakfast. The location is absolutely perfect too. Right in the forest where you can join one of the hundreds of miles of signposted trails just seconds from your camping pitch. The sleepy town of Freudenstadt was a beautiful 45 minute walk through the forest, and also a very pleasant cycle ride too. The biggest problem with Natur-Camping Langenwald is that we had to leave - I wanted to stay there for ever! (We are already making plans to go back in 2023!)

One of the best Campgrounds we have been to in Germany! Extremely friendly owners, beautifully located at the edge of the black forest in short distance to Freudenstadt, recently renovated, modern & clean facilities, offering all kinds of leisure activities (volleyball, swimming, ping pong, TV room, ...), lots of seating available (in case you did not bring any chairs) and a very well equipped shop! If you are into Camping, it doesn't get better than this! Highly recommended!

11. August 2021We had a perfect stay at Langenwald camping! We stayed for a week in our tent, the camping was top notch. Clean, spacious sanitair. Friendly people, lots of greenery, well kept, different areas. Calm at night. Fresh buns and coffee available. Little restaurant. We could easily drive around the black forest from this one spot 🙂 would recommend!
