Dogs are very welcome here, and families with children will also find the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. The stream and the nature trail are real highlights for children who love exploring the great outdoors.
Outdoor enthusiasts will be in their element here: numerous hiking and cycling trails in the Black Forest start right at the campsite. Whether it’s leisurely walks, challenging hikes or trips to the nearby Black Forest National Park – nature begins right on our doorstep.

A third-generation family business
The Natur‑Camping Langenwald has been run by the Eiermann family since 1974 – now in its third generation. Our campsite was established on the historic grounds of the Schleh sawmill, a place long connected to nature and traditional craftsmanship. What began as a small family business has grown into a lovingly developed campsite that combines tradition, closeness to nature, and modern hospitality.

The campsite is really good : a nice nature spot ! The facilities are great, sanitaries are super clean, the pool is nice. The reception was very nice, the staff very nice. The only big problem is the noise. The road goes along the campsite and if you are not prepared it can be a shock. A lot of trucks and cars, motorcycles... In tent, we slept very badly. I think that if you are in camping car, it is perfect! Or in a tent, but only if you have a really heavy sleep and if noise isn't a problem for you

16. May 2022Lovely place to stay. Friendly family. Clean facilities. Good bread service😋 great sauna to rent on a rainy day. Easy access to walks starting from the camping but also a bus stop right in front of the camping that can take you for example to Freudenstadt or Ruhestein Nationalparkzentrum. Would definitely recommend. Only downside was that the veggie options (flammküchen) in restaurant were not available anymore. There are not really other restaurants nearby (or closed in the off-season).

At the start of our camping trip we had to quickly reschedule everything and we were looking for a campsite somewhere in the Black Forest in Germany. Natur-Camping Langenwald seemed to get great reviews so we contacted them and booked a space for a few days in June. It turns out that we made an excellent decision because this campsite is one of the best I have ever been to! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were all amazingly helpful and friendly (they also spoke great English). We just couldn't believe how nice everything was there! The shower block was like something from a 5-star hotel, the laundry and dishwashing were absolutely immaculate and every time I went in there was never even a speck of dirt anywhere. There is even a place to wash your dog and it has both hot and cold water - it was better than many of the human showers we encountered on our trip. There is a brilliant little cafe / bar on site that served coffee and cakes in the afternoon and hearty traditional German food in the evening along with a great selection of drinks. It isn't open very late so there is no noise at night time. The reception had a well-stocked shop and a great selection of freshly-baked breads and croissants each morning for breakfast. The location is absolutely perfect too. Right in the forest where you can join one of the hundreds of miles of signposted trails just seconds from your camping pitch. The sleepy town of Freudenstadt was a beautiful 45 minute walk through the forest, and also a very pleasant cycle ride too. The biggest problem with Natur-Camping Langenwald is that we had to leave - I wanted to stay there for ever! (We are already making plans to go back in 2023!)

18. July 2023Beautiful camping with great accomodations and a very helpful staff. The stream is lovely for both kids and dogs. The places are very nice and not too close together. The amount of hiking you can do without even taking your car is awesome. The restaurant is good. The sauna is clean, private, and cheap. The camping is dog friendly but doesn't tolerate bad behavior which is great. Working wifi everywhere. Honestly the best camping experience I've had so far. The pool is very nice but could be bigger if you want to swim.

One of the best sites we have stayed on for freindly staff service. Cleanliness, facilities, including dog wash with mixer tap. Our dog hates dog washes as they're usually cold. This one was temperature selectable, she quite liked it. Bike station with tools and pump. Everything has been well thought out. From drying room, washing machine facilities to cooking facilities for campers. We can't thank the owners enough for how they treated us.

27. April 2025Been quite a few years since I've been here but planning to revisit in 2021. Friendly, family run campsite who humoured my attempts to speak German, immaculately clean toilet/shower facilities, shop on site, fresh bread deliveries in the morning and a idyllic location. If you're a motorcyclist, it's ideally located for the B500 and a good place to stop en-route to the Alps.
